Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Offcl ("we", "us"), the operator of the offcl.co website builder, operated from Cameroon. By creating an account, starting a free trial or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Offcl on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.
The service
Offcl is a hosted website builder for businesses. It lets you create and publish a website at a subdomain of offcl.co (for example yourname.offcl.co), manage your products, services, orders, bookings and content from a dashboard, and receive customer orders and enquiries through WhatsApp or built-in forms. Your subscription includes your subdomain address, hosting, the security certificate, a professional design and the tools available in your dashboard. We may add, improve or remove features as the product evolves.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to open an Offcl account. You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Each account is intended to run one business site. If you operate several businesses, contact us and we will help you set up properly.
Free trial and billing
New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. No card and no Mobile Money number are required to try the service — you only pay if you decide to continue. After the trial, continued use requires a paid plan: 1,200 XAF per month or 14,000 XAF per year (about two months free compared to paying monthly). Payments are made with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money through our payment partner CamPay. Each payment extends your paid period from its current end date, so renewing early never costs you days you already paid for. When your free trial ends, a short grace period keeps your site online while you decide; after that, the site goes offline and visitors see a holding page until you pay. The same applies when a paid period ends without renewal: your site goes offline until the next payment. Your content is never deleted when a site goes offline — everything is restored as soon as payment is received. Prices are in Central African francs (XAF); any transaction fees charged by your mobile operator are your operator's, not ours.
Acceptable use and your content
You own the content you publish on your site — your text, photos, prices, logos and product listings. You grant us only the limited licence we need to host, display and technically process that content as part of providing the service. You are solely responsible for what you publish and for complying with the laws that apply to your business and your customers. You may not use Offcl to: - sell or promote goods or services that are illegal in Cameroon or in your customers' country, including counterfeit products; - run scams, fraud, phishing operations, or pyramid or Ponzi schemes; - send spam or unsolicited bulk messages through our infrastructure; - publish content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy or image rights; - distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' sites; - impersonate another business or person, or mislead visitors about who you are or what you sell. We may remove content, suspend a site or close an account that breaks these rules — with or without prior notice where the law or an urgent risk requires it. Serious or repeated violations lead to permanent termination without refund.
Tenant subdomains
Your site address (for example yourname.offcl.co) is a subdomain of our domain, granted to you for as long as your account is in good standing — it is not a domain name you own. Some names are reserved and cannot be registered. We may reclaim or rename a subdomain that is unused for a long period, that infringes a trademark or another person's name, or that is used in violation of these Terms. Choosing a subdomain does not give you rights over a name that belongs to someone else.
Affiliate program
Registered affiliates earn 500 XAF for each new customer who signs up through their referral link and makes a first payment. Referrals are attributed through a cookie that lasts 30 days after a visitor opens your link. Earnings can be withdrawn by Mobile Money once your pending balance reaches 1,000 XAF. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, and referrals whose payment is refunded, reversed or fraudulent void the related earnings and may end your participation in the program. Promoting your link through spam or deceptive practices is not allowed. We may adjust or end the affiliate program at any time; legitimate earnings accrued before a change will still be honoured.
Service availability
We work to keep Offcl — and your site — online at all times, but the service is provided on a best-effort basis without a guaranteed uptime. Maintenance windows, mobile network or Mobile Money outages, and other events outside our control may cause interruptions. We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service. If we ever plan a change that would permanently take your site offline, we will give you reasonable advance notice and a way to export your content.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost sales, lost profits, or business decisions taken on the basis of the service — nor for the actions of your customers or of the third-party services we rely on (payment operators, hosting providers, messaging apps). Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Termination
You can stop using Offcl at any time — simply let your trial or paid period expire, or ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, is used fraudulently, or exposes us or other users to risk. When a subscription ends, the site goes offline. We retain your account and site data for 90 days so you can come back or export your content; after that, it may be permanently deleted. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content ownership, limitation of liability, governing law — remain in effect.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. We will always try to resolve disagreements amicably first; failing that, disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Cameroon. If mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country give you the right to another forum or additional protections, those rights are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service and the law evolve. The current version is always published on this page with its "last updated" date. For significant changes we will notify you by email or in your dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use Offcl after updated Terms apply means you accept them.
